Whether you’re new to fitness or a seasoned enthusiast, Boadicea’s personal training sessions are designed to meet you where you are and help you achieve your sessIon goals. Her approach is personalised, supportive, and empowering, offering the perfect blend of challenge and encouragement.
Prior To Arrival
Parking & Arrival: Clients will find free parking available on-site at the women’s gym. It’s advised to arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time for storing your personal belongings in the lockers (no padlock required).
Waiting Area: After storing your belongings, feel free to relax in the waiting area, or, if you feel comfortable, begin warming up using the machines. The warm-up stage is important, and we encourage you to start gradually if you wish.
Session Breakdown
Warm-Up:
A proper warm-up is essential to prevent injury and prepare the body for more intense activity. The warm-up is broken down into three stages:
Stage 1 – General Warm-Up: A 5-10 minute light cardio activity (e.g., treadmill walking, cycling, or rowing) to gradually elevate your heart rate and increase blood circulation to muscles.
Stage 2 – Dynamic Stretching: After increasing the heart rate, we move into dynamic stretches such as leg swings, hip circles, or arm swings. This helps to improve flexibility and mobility while preparing the joints for the exercises ahead.
Stage 3 – Specific Warm-Up: In this stage, we target muscles that will be used during the session. For example, if your workout involves strength training, we may perform a few bodyweight exercises or light resistance movements to activate the target muscles.
Main Workout:
The main workout is the core of your session and is tailored to your individual goals and fitness level. This is the stage where the session varies from client to client.
Whether focusing on strength, endurance, flexibility, or general fitness, Boadicea customises the workout to ensure a balance of challenge and enjoyment. The session could include weightlifting, bodyweight exercises, resistance band work, functional movements, or HIIT, depending on what you are working towards.
The workout is designed not just to challenge you, but also to provide a sense of accomplishment. With careful attention to your form, progress, and mindset, Boadicea makes sure you leave the session feeling proud of what you've achieved.
Cool-Down:
We start with a 5-10 minute low-intensity cardio session (e.g., slow cycling or walking) to gradually bring your heart rate down and relax your body after the workout.
Recovery & Breath-work
After an intense session Boadicea then provides assisted stretches, where she helps guide you into deeper stretches for better range of motion and muscle relaxation. These assisted stretches are tailored to your body’s specific needs, ensuring effective muscle elongation and joint mobility rejuvenating recovery practise. This includes assisted stretching to relieve the onset of muscle tightness after the session. Then she moves onto a short but powerful breath-work exercise. Breath-work has many benefits such as improved oxygen flow to muscles, lowering heart rate and calming the autonomic nervous system. This therapeutic recovery routine will leave you feeling balanced, centred and ready to take on the rest of your day.

Where is this service based?
This service is based from The Women's Gym Wilmslow, a luxury modern training facility for ladies only. The gym is equipped with boxing bags, high quality strength & conditioning equipment, techno-gym machines and chnaging facilities with individual shower hubs and vanity stations.
Do I need a gym membership?
You do not require a gym membership to participate in this service. However, multiple gym memberships are available.
